A Great Blue . . .

. . . Heron! 
This is a bird that I see a lot of, but am still fascinated with, even though we have lived in SW Florida now for 11 years! Look at that profile! 

I am adding an extra photo to show where this heron was standing when I took this. :o) He is a hopeful bird, waiting to see if there will be something extra for him! Taken this morning at DeSoto National Memorial in Bradenton, a beautiful National Park.
