Maxwell Park Moorhen
A more productive day mainly on account of the improved weather. A longer walk than of late this afternoon around the three parks – Queens Park, Maxwell Park and home via Pollok Park. I had heard that the swan had laid several eggs in their usual nest, however this did not seem to be the case and both swans were some distance away in the main pond. Anyway there was a profusion of crocuses, some early daffodils, a great many ducks which were being pursued by an excited Labrador whose owner was no where in sight. He/she splashed their way across the smaller pond and raced around the island, if there were swan eggs they would be no more after that.
I made toward Maxwell Park via Zuchinni’s to get some rhubarb. They also had some very colourful chantenay, carrots and intensely purple sprouting broccoli. We had rhubarb crumble this evening and it was delicious. Vegetables tomorrow with something or other as a side.
The sun was striving to shine by the time I got to Maxwell Park and I sat down (I think that’s allowed if you are on your own) and watched the moorhens foraging about in the shallows, which is the blip. I hadn’t really noticed their flecks of white before.
Squeezed in Yoga before supper and realised that I am following a different 30 day challenge – I had wondered because there is no dog. I don’t suppose it matters if I switch between them.
