Relections

Silverback file:

Big day yesterday! Spent most of the day getting Jack back on his chain! Order finally restored late last night.

Part of the day was taken up with the socially distanced body corporate AGM followed by slightly less distanced drinks by the pool. Enzo did a good job of guarding the apartment while all that was going on

The low tide beach was just like a mirror in the mid morning light. We took Enzo’s recently healed foot pads out for a high speed test and he chased some balls. All went well, so he’s unrestricted again now.

It’s been a good month at home but we’re missing travelling. I think we’ll be heading off again soon.

We’ve been lucky to avoid most of the Covid lockdowns (so far). We’ve been restricted to travel within Queensland. Luckily it’s big!

There have been no new cases in our region for about three months now. Most Australian states currently have minimal restrictions and interstate travel is allowed between all the Eastern states. The southern state of Victoria has been less fortunate but still nothing compared with the major Northern Hemisphere centres.

We’re planning to travel down the East coast of northern New South Wales for most of March. Just the rural seaboard, we’ll stay clear of Sydney. Then back home for the rest of winter.

Winter’s not much of a problem in Queensland. It’s usually sunny with temperatures in the low twenties (C). It’s when most of the surfing happens.

Hopefully by the end of winter most of the country will be vaccinated and the new normal will be upon us! We have most of our Australian relatives over in West Australia and hope to get over there by Xmas.

We’ll see how we get on!
