Last Year's Thistle

We went for a short walk in the Country Park early in the afternoon. It was cold and grey when we left the car park. The clouds cleared and the sun came out and what a difference it made. It actually felt as if there was some warmth in the day after all. We saw several signs of Spring in the bushes and trees. However, we quite liked this shot as we felt it was a sign of the end of the winter. (Hope we were right)
