Abstract lichens

A refreshing walk this morning with N. We met a frog crossing the path to a pond already alive with frog spawn. Blue skies all around. We were both hopefully looking forward to being able to meet up in our gardens soon.

A little tidying in the garden this afternoon. At least I can see some more if the plants close to the house now. Then tried taking some abstract, painterly photos. Not sure if I quite got there but I was amazed by the life forms captured on the buddleia trunk. Are they all lichens?
