Penrith Independent Co-op, Keswick

We visited Keswick today on the last full day of our holiday. We went to the Co-op to buy a few essentials and were intrigued to learn it was a branch of the Penrith Co-op, an independent society.

After a quick Wikipedia search, I now know a lot more about independent Co-ops. The Penrith branch has 10 stores while the biggest, the Midcounties, has around 450!

This is the Penrith Co-op's logo and motto, photographed outside the Keswick store. I think I might adopt the motto for myself.
