Yellowhammer #29
Lockdown 3.0 Day #52
A glorious day and we went on our lockdown loop but took it a bit further today. There were quite a few birds about and the birdsong was lovely - if only the cars on the linkway and motorway weren't giving us unwanted background noise.
The yellowhammers were numerous but quite shy, not wanting to be photographed and constantly hiding amongst the branches, but eventually one of them decided to cooperate. I also liked the very underrated dunnock in extras, showing nicely on top of the hedge line.
Dad has had a good day and been up and about doing his exercises and walking with a zimmer frame. He's not in much physical pain which is great, but was very disgruntled to see that the 5-day test match has already finished in under two days and he missed most of Joe Root's wickets as he was being escorted with the zimmer!!! Dunno what he's going to watch for the rest of his stay now.....I'm sure he'll find some old episodes of Heartbeat or Lovejoy or some other stuff :)
Thank you all once again for your kind wishes and positivity regarding Dad's recovery.
