A swim!!

Though there was a strong cold wind, the sun was out and warm, so I and 3 hardy swimming friends had another (short) swim, this time on the Evian Gulf side. The water was noticeably colder than our last swim, just over 2 weeks ago ... not surprising since we've had snow since then.

In the afternoon my sister, brother and I joined an online meeting with social services and hospital staff to decide on Mum's best interests. A very constructive and reassuring meeting, where it was decided that it would definitely be best for Mum to go into a residential care home - as soon as a suitable placement can be found. At the end, they very kindly brought Mum in and we were able to see her for the first time in months and chat for about half an hour.. It was very emotional - and a huge relief to us to see Mum in reasonable form, and so reassuring for Mum to actually see us and have a proper chat.
