I never really understood why my Mum would always feed the pigeons in her back garden but she would tell me that she had to as a lot of the same ones would come every day and what would they do without the food. Over the years I've come to appreciate birds a lot more. I'd hung up a couple of suet things on the raspberry bushes and saw  a couple of magpies coming every day to have a peck at them. I decided to get a bird feeder so I could get a good view of any that come by. There are a lot of different ones that frequent the streets round about because of the location and even the odd sparrohawk on occasion.
