I went down to the mill to look for peregrines today but no luck. The scrap clearance from inside the mill stopped last week after so many complaints of noise and dangerous practises. The police confirmed they wouldn't be back but I suspect they had finished anyway. The throwing of metal out of windows from the 6th floor was enough to scare anyone off, never mind the peregrines. There is a lot of concern now as the female hasn't been seen for 2 weeks apparently and they should be mating now.
So without a peregrine I was happy to see siskin again. They are like buses, don't see one for agues then they all come together.
