My Favorite Vase

We have been to Sedona, Arizona a few times and it is always a magical experience.  On one of our trips, I purchased this very heavy vase and very gingerly carried it home on the plane. It is made of polished stone and I think the colors are exquisite.  It usually sits on the mantel over our fireplace, but today I took it down to the basement to photograph in my makeshift studio as part of the work in my flower photography course and the current topic of color theory. 

The weather has finally turned nice and I am really itching for spring flowers and warmer temperatures and some photography outings.
