First day of the rest of my life

Cathleen has brought home for the weekend the incubator in which the children at Toward School are hatching chickens as part of their "Crofting Connections" project.

The first of the chicks saw the light of day yesterday before she managed to get the box home. Three others pecked and struggled their way out of their eggs during the night and early this morning.

This little one is, therefore, pictured on the first day of the rest of its life.
