Meet up

Grandson F only had lessons in the morning so asked if we could meet up for a walk.  Readily agreed as haven’t seen him since before Christmas.  Seems to grow taller and skinnier each time I see him!  Main complaint seemed to be that all the weekend jobs he had been doing had gone because of lockdown, and he had been trying to save up for driving lessons as he is 17 next month - how the years fly by!  We walked up to St Ives and got coffee at the Ivy Kitchen with a toastie for F (hollow legs!).  Walked up and around the top of St Ives and then round the pond.  Some time spent in the bird hide where I spotted Coal Tits, Long Tailed Tits, Blue Tits, Robins and of course lots of squirrels.  Lovely sunny day,  but a bit chilly on the hands.  Lovely to get together - may be a while before it happens again as of course the schools go back in March.
