Bristol Vista
We have friends down from the Metropolis, the Global City, the beating heartbeat of the UK economy. Here they are in sleepy Bristol seeing how we live in the provinces.
We spent a happy day perambulating around Bristol. It might have been a mooch, it could have been a wander.
We hit the sights: Stokes Croft, Primark, St Nicholas' Market for falafel and hot chilli sauce, the astonishing castle remains, some bona fide Bristol dog excrement, a Harlem Shake thing going on at College Green (NO! To chunky man wearing suspenders only....), City Museum, a close shave with a £28 butter dish (friends are still simmering over this one) and finally managing to burn the Sports section of the Guardian whilst lighting the fire.
Happy times. We have been pretending everyone in Bristol always says Gert Lush, Cheers Drive, my baba and lots of great Ideals, especially down at Ikeal. Reinforcing stereotypes, me?
