Salvaged

Attended a house fire this morning.
It was owned be an elderly lady, who was, thank goodness, out and safe and sound on our arrival.

I felt so bad for her, it was a substantial fire, bedroom gutted out and through the roof.

But in the corner of her bedroom in a burnt out cupboard I came across some really old photo albums that, although on the outside they were badly damaged the photos inside were fine!
They looked like they were from early 1900's or earlier.
Amazing!
Her wee face lit up when I showed her they had survived.
