The promise of Spring

I managed to fit in a walk to the village today and saw this display of crocuses beneath a magnolia tree already in full bud in the churchyard. The tree will surely be in flower soon. Ir was a beautiful sunny late winter afternoon. Still quite chilly but full of the promise of Spring.
