Ben’s first meat pie

While we were at the Park last night, Ben was busy at home making a casserole. Today he made meat pies out of the casserole and this is one of them.

He’s done an amazing job, the pastry was buttery and flaky and quite perfect actually. Can’t believe he made that. He said he’s getting ready for Australia, meat pies are big there :).

The Germans came for dinner tonight as Martin had announced yesterday that we had a leg of lamb to cook before we leave, and they said they’d come round and help us eat it! Guess they just can’t get enough of us ;-). We were delighted, it was another wonderful evening.
