Sprung

Lovely day, very springlike and a shame I had to stay indoors for most of it. Was lovely to have a virtual coffee and chat (rather than yet another meeting) with S as he leaves to go to a new job at the Botanics. He’s been so lovely to work with and such a breath of fresh air in his unit. I do hope he ends up returning as the head of that unit in a few years.
Long term planning for major projects in the afternoon...looking 15-20 years ahead which was rather surreal but I guess we can predict more for then than we can for the next 6 months!
Managed to get a walk round the park at the end of the afternoon and realised when I got down to Holyrood that there was a massive media scrum as Salmond was giving his evidence in the parliament this afternoon. The place was mobbed, with camera crews and satellite vans, police and incident units everywhere. What a circus the whole thing is...
