Silly Saturday: "Batty"

Day 27 of the Mono Month Challenge for 2021.

Soon after we bought our house, we realised we were sharing it with a colony of bats. Not a small colony either: a bat survey estimated we had about 1000 of them in residence, and after we got permission to exclude them we removed several hundredweight of guano from the loft! 

We're now getting around to doing something with the top room, where some of the most memorable moments of the bat survey took place with multiple bat experts, us, several of our neighbours and (of course!) bats in attendance. This little chap hangs on the wall up there to commemorate the event. He's actually very cute  - his ears, nose, hands(?) and feet are bright orange :) - but I couldn't resist processing for the Nosferatu vibe!
