Colour crazy
A lovely day together...all recovering from the knock-you-sideways-cold, though at this end of the day Asha's just developing it unfortunately.
We had the standard Saturday pancakes for breakfast which Nate helped make and also insisted we each have a celebratory candle in them. Life with a 3 year old can be fun when you're not tearing your hair out!
Then off to the north of the island to visit the abandoned hotel and see if there was any new graffiti - there was! This that the kids are in front of - such a gorgeous riot of colour! Then time on the beach. The kids enjoyed burying themselves. And then, as if there wasn't enough lovely stuff, yesterday we'd pre ordered fish and chips from a place in San An that we'd heard good things about. You can't really get them here, especially in winter...and the one place we'd tried months ago was just dripping in grease...so we were reeeeaaallly pleased when these were super tasty. Eaten in the car by the sea. They'd even put herbs in the batter! And even better, we'd thought to get the kids into their pjs before we left, so they were quick to bed when we got back!
Just a thoroughly wonderful day together. And Nate's 'whatsit' moments were few and far between - even better!
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Nate's love for the pancake tradition and his insistence on always helping out making them.
2) Someone messaging Asha's jewellery page saying their blessing bracelet arrived today which was perfect timing as today was a painful anniversary for them and they needed a little brightness in their day.
3) Days where everything flows and the kids get on well.
