Drainage required due Global Warming

Everything is getting wetter - especially the garden. The plan is to have a nice patio/hot tub area, but we need to get rid of the water from the swamp.

So many drainage ditches have been dug across the garden, which now resembles a miniature trench system from the Somme.

I am sure it will all be worth it, although with the surface water we're going to be shoving into the drains I think the local river level will rise by about a foot.
