Impressive Meringues

Ahead of my birthday on Tuesday, I met a lovely pal in the nearby county town for one of my favourite activities: eating out!

Dorchester is undergoing some impressive developments at the moment, of which a brand new Carluccio's restaurant is just one. After a delicious pasta lunch, followed by the finest Italian puds and some top notch coffee, my pal and I perused the deli part of the restaurant. I eventually settled on an apricot tart for Dad, a pecan tart for Mum and a monstrous chocolate brownie for Pete. The meringues (in the Blip) were extremely impressive and I was sorely tempted, but they were too delicate to make the hour-long journey home. But they were beautifully Blip-worthy!
