It really was a lovely day today. I decided it was warm enough for the first visit to the plot of the season. It was good to make a start on the weeding. I heard the woodpecker roundabout and then spotted it on this tree at the end of my plot. I really should have taken my big camera because for the first time I would have had a perfect shot of it pecking the tree. I have gotten bits of the woodpecker before so I will know for next time. It was still fascinating to watch it though.
