Singing for Spring...
...at the top of the tree.
Another beautiful day so, despite good intentions to get on with decorating the hall, very little was done! MrM and I had a very pleasant afternoon walk though, and we were out a little longer than originally intended. We headed up through the woods on a very short stretch of St Cuthbert's Way, down through the woods to the south of the Common, along the valley of the Pin Well, and back along the road. No squirrels to be seen in the woods, but we spotted two roe deer in the distance.
Lots of little birds singing their hearts out. Most seemed to be male chaffinches - this one was just short of the top of a very tall tree on the edge of the woods.
