Peveril Castle
The ruins of Peveril Castle stand high above the village of Castleton in the heart of Derbyshire's Peak District.
Peveril Castle is one of England's earliest Norman fortresses and was mentioned in the Domesday survey.
The keep was built by Henry II in 1176.
Man Tor can be seen in the distance.
