Lockdown 3 - Day 54
We had the first removal company round this morning to give us a quote so we had to be up early, but that benefitted us and we decided to go to Leonardslee Gardens for a walk. We pre-booked the tickets as you can't just turn up, but they don't operate specific time slots, so we were able to head out as soon as the removal guy had left.
I was a little concerned that it would be very busy seeing as it was Saturday and the weather was lovely, but we were surprised at how quiet it was - I guess everyone that wanted to go for a walk decided to go to the beach.
I'd read that the Wallabies had given birth, and I didn't really expect to see any Joeys, but they were actually quite big and we saw two. They have a 'maternity' enclosure but the rest of the wallabies roam free in the grounds. There are also free roaming deer, but despite walking through the deer park, we didn't see any. We spent a lovely few hours there, and stopped for a hot chocolate and a coffee sat on a bench in the sun.
Once home, we went out for a walk with the boys and then had a chilled out evening. Chris Moyles did another 'official' DJ set (not on instagram) so we decided to purchase a ticket as it was only £5 and he was on from 8-10.30pm. It was good, but I prefer his Friday night shows as it's a bit more light hearted.
