PEAFOWL

Peafowl is the collective term for members of the Genera Pavo, Afropavo and Family Phasianidae (Pheasants).

This is Pavo cristatus, the Indian Peafowl. Technically, only the male is a Peacock....the female (see Extra) is the Peahen. But many people refer to either sex colloquially as Peacocks.
