Richard's Favourite Spot

We've been up here a few times but had not stopped to examine the wording on the seat which I could not capture today because it was into the very bright sun, but its on this link..  I can't believe I had not noticed it before, because we have a son called Richard who gave us a book of walks that brought us to this seat a couple of years ago, for the very first time. Thanks Richard - both of you. We had lunch in the sun and thought of the 2 Richards. Our son who, we look forward to seeing when Nicola lets him out of Scotland and the Richard who inspired the seat who, we deduce, died in 2004,  aged just 31. It is a wonderful spot. That's Windermere below and the Langdales in the distance.
