What a Glorious Day!

An absolutely fabulous day with an even more fabulous ending 20 minutes ago.
It started with a drive out in the new car. A Tiguan, automatic so that you know who can drive it

Then home early afternoon to sit in the garden, in warm sunshine for lunch.

About half an hour ago, (3.45pm) we were distracted by a lot of noise from the far end of the garden. The dogs started barking and were giddy, so off we went to investigate.
Was it our lawn mowing obsessed neighbour? No

This beautiful sparrowhawk had somehow got itself inside our fruit netting and was going frantic. Probably after a blackbird!. On our approach he "played dead". We opened the door and stood back. And yes he made his escape bid
Unfortunately he caught  his talon in the mesh on the way - so Mr TW stepped in, gently gathered the bird in his hand and patiently untangled him.
We walked to the top of the garden to the open fields, and away he flew.
What a wonderful experience
