Alder Catkins

We woke up to a heavy mist this morning (outside, not in) and had a lazy morning, followed by lunch and then a squidgy walk around the wood.  The parts that don't get sun aren't getting any easier to walk on and wellies are definitely the best footwear.

The new community area is coming on a treat and I'll go up there with my big camera to take a few images next week.

The Alder catkins are much bigger than their Hazelnut cousins and the trees are laden with them.
