Pink Elephant Corner Shop

....so called as this former corner shop used to boast a pink elephant children's ride outside.  I remember the shop from the late 1970's/early 1980's when Betty and her partner would be open well outside the typical 9 to 5 hours. This was of course years before "early 'til late" convenience stores had appeared in their dozens. Some brief research shows that this building had been a grocers since at least 1917. It looks as though its retail days are over.
