Sempringham Priory

I love this church. It's set in the middle of beautiful farmland and was the site of the only combined monastery and priory in England. Founded by St Gilbert and the final home of Princess Gwenllian, the last of the Welsh royal family. She died here in 1337. Her female cousin died at Six Hills, near Lincoln, and her male cousins were imprisoned by the English to ensure there were no further claims on the Welsh crown. Since then, every Prince of Wales has been English.
