There were two flat structures on either side of the exterior door of the Casa designed to hold large pots of plants. Problem is, plants put there invariably disappear, and the ledges seem to serve as public sitting areas or diaper changing stations! A little disconcerting when you open the door and run into strangers sitting there. Solution: dig out the ledges, creating permanent planters, and landscape with pretty but prickly plants! Problem solved!
