Dead battery

All my plans went awry today as the car wouldn't start in the morning. It took virtually the whole day to deal with this... waiting for road assistance to come from Halkida, then getting to the nearest car mechanic to obtain a new battery. Fortunately by the end of the day, before the 6 o'clock curfew, it was all fixed.
Later I realised how lucky I was that the battery had given out at home, and I hadn't been stranded somewhere more isolated.
The dog in the photo is a lovely young stray the mechanic was feeding. She came with me for my hour's walk through the fields while the mechanic was going to fetch the new battery.
