Not Quite Niagara Falls

When we are at the farm in the warm months, especially in August, this run is almost dry. Snow has melted off the ridges and the run has crested over the bridge, aptly named “the low water bridge.” This is a WV state road and road workers just cleared some of the excess sediment that had collected by the bridge but obviously they did not finish the job. The residents had to clean out the bridge culvert to keep this road usable. This picture will give a small glimpse of the road conditions on our last 2.5 mile trek to our destination. It was a cold, rainy and foggy day for our outing. We went to town as planned. Father is hoping to reopen the church for Mass by Easter; we are using the school gym now. Shopping was uneventful. It took way too long to get lunch. Waited 50 minutes; we’d agreed to wait 55 before leaving. There must have been issues in the kitchen because usually the food is superb, not so much today. I doubt we’ll eat there again. But the blizzards we bought at our last stop before heading home were perfect so life is good. Thanks for visiting. Grab an ice cream treat; it fixes most bad situations.
