Walking Home
Stayed up way too late last night trying to post my Blip over and over, and Mike trying to get through to our provider, which was beyond frustrating - all to no avail.
We'd tried to watch our church's Livestream by going up on the hill under the mast, worked for a bit, and then gave up.
Anyway, turns out, when he got through this morning, that it was because our monthly allowance had run out, so now we're OK again. Not surprised we're using it more than we used to, with Zoom meetings and so on.
So yesterday. Love Sundays, with no pressure to work, a lie-in, special grapefruit and croissant breakfast, a walk until time to go to lunch at Cecílio and Ermelinda's, his good cooking, relaxed conversation, walking home - which is when we saw the clouds and the sun behind "our" castle.
Gratefuls:
- that we have internet again, it's rather important in these times
- seeing hundreds of cranes circling high overhead on our walk yesterday, joined by more and more, and eventually flying off north, forming into lopsided arrow formations as they went; does this mean they've left??
- Cecílio's good cooking; we had Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá, a desalted cod recipe created by Gomes de Sá (1851-1926), the son of a salted cod merchant in Porto
