Picnic in the woods
Squirrels', of stored acorns.
Some of the nuts have already sprouted.
Of those that remain buried one or two may become trees.
We also found a splendid new ty bach/little house - with a heart on the lid and a crescent moon on the door. Not so little either, it was more of a throne room. There's a long drop into a big wheelie bin predicted to need emptying only once every 6 months, the contents composted and returned to the land.
It's behind a just-completed workshop tucked in a hollow on the edge of the woodland nature reserve.
New beginnings are so welcome at the moment. It's good to think of folk working wood here and wild creatures busy producing new life all around.
