I had a practise run at making the Welsh Cakes a week ago (it didn't take long for them to disappear).

Today I made another batch (from a slightly different recipe). Half a dozen were delivered to my brother and his wife. They are saving them for Monday (St David's Day). A little explanation was required for my sister in law, she is Ukrainian and still getting to grips with the 4 countries (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) all being 1 country (UK) concept. I suspect that she will be trying her hand at making them herself soon as she does enjoy baking.
