Town hall
This here is the town-hall of the very small or little town of Damme.
The first townhall of Damme was built in wood (1241) Then in the year 1464 was the building as seen here created in Gothic style .Damme itself is hardly a village ,because it's so small .(see the extra ,photo taken from a photo) and you will have an idea how "big this town is . Damme (6km east of Bruges) was aloud to name itself as a town in about the middle ages . It had a direct connection(by 't zwin estuary- area nearby the today named Town of Knokke and the nowaday's Dutch border ) ) to the Nord Sea. As a harbour it was important for the Town of Bruges . Also "THE NAPOLEON" came along and builded the canal as seen on the extra photo . To build this canal therefor he had a military reason, and destroyed by all this a part of the town . Maybe the rest is for a next time
