An eventful day

Lots of wet, heavy snow/rain the last couple of days... I spent lunchtime clearing the driveway, and then I went down to the lake to re-flood the ice rink. There had been some significant wind gusts all morning, so I was careful where I placed the large Tupperware that carries the water pump, hoses, and zamboni-stick. Or so I thought.
Mid way through the flooding process — I turned around and saw that a particularly powerful gust of wind had caught the Tupperware and was pushing it along the lake... fast. I never had a chance — it had moved 100m in about 30s, skimming along the top of the snow while I sunk 2-3’ deep with every step. So much for that Tupperware — maybe I’ll take a stab at recovering it this weekend on a purposeful expedition, if it hasn’t made its way back into the city by then.

Coming in from that fun, I found out that there was an ongoing power outage — perfect for my unfortunately important Monday afternoon work calls. Luckily my neighbours let me in to their home to use their wifi.... 8 hours after it disappeared, the power returned and I re-assumed my spot next to the warm cozy fire
