Automatic .... ?

On our recent trips to the UK, we've taken to hiring a car. It might be a little more costly than using the trains, but there's nothing like the convenience of having your own transport.

This time, for a little upgrade fee, we were given the option of an automatic diesel Peugeot 308. I'd never driven an automatic before, but what the heck ....

The first thing I did was to press the brake pedal with my left foot, mistaking it for the clutch pedal. Thank God we were still in the parking lot.

Ok, note to self, no need to use the left foot if it's an automatic. :)

And it's cold, dull and overcast, but the hugs and kisses from the grandchildren ..... Priceless.
