Rejuvenation

The scafolding covering the West face  of Southwell Minster above has finally gone after a month or two and now they are doing some work on the grounds including on the path below.

History - Brief Introduction

Southwell Minster has been a site of worship  for well over 900 years. Originally a Roman Villa, it has undertaken many transformations including as a Saxon church, and as a private church of the Archbishop of York.
 
A misguided marketing officer recently sent out a poll to re-brand it with Nottingham and Cathederal. No surprise there was an instant uproar and the survey promptly removed!

Prize - Stereolab

Today I found out I had won a selection of merchandise from a band called Stereloab including a tea towel to add to our band collection a stickers which always go down well. I was also told that there would be a vinyl repress of "In Fabric" from offshoot band "Cavern of Antimatter". It's the soundtrack to a niche horror / spoof film that I really enjoyed. The second hand vinyl price is rather out of my budget at over £100!
