Spring Unravelled

Nobody is sitting anywhere on the Meadows today, not at 3° in the damp murk. There has been a reversal of fortune on the east coast and we are back in winter. It does nothing for my psyche to hear from the weather man on the tele about the wonderful sunshine on the west coast.

I have been out and about and will gird my loins to go out and about again but it is not an enjoyable experience. It was more enjoyable to bake some muesli cookies which may look anaemic but taste good.

Washing the windows in the development is like the painting of the Forth Road bridge in days of yore- it’s never ending. Someone is always getting their windows washed, and looking at mine after the recent rain, it’s high time it was my turn.
