If one green bottle...

The photo I would have liked to have blipped today was of the production of "West Side Story" performed at Her Majesty's Prison Erlestoke near Devizes, which I've just got back from. But it's a criminal offence "without authority to take a photograph ... within a prison"!! The musical was performed by a few professionals and a lot of inmates (it's a closed prison for men, more than half of whom are serving life sentences). What talent and enthusiasm! The idea is to use art to transform lives, and I truly believe that it does.

The photo is a bottle I found out walking along a stream this afternoon. It's stamped "Frome United Breweries", a company formed in 1889 and liquidated in 1960. How can an old bottle survive intact for 50+ years?
