Beavering Away!

An early start, the men arrived at 7.45 and lost no time is getting on with the job.   Obviously very experienced at working as a team (3 men plus boss who got stuck in as well).   At a lull in proceeding which Brian went off to empty the chippings I made them a cuppa.   By the time I had made myself one, they had finished and got straight back to it.   They gingerly chopped and avoided the telephone wires which we in the threes as you can see.   11.15am and all chopped down.   They are back some time tomorrow to grind the stumps and clear away.   See extras.

Up to mum's this afternoon and Specsavers were coming out to test her vision as it was overdue.   A thorough job done, and no new glasses needed but she has Cateracts and could do with them doing.   That, of course, presents further obstacles.   There is about an 8 week waiting list, so not too bad, and we can get transport to take her and bring her back but it is just the problem of the toilet whilst we would be there.  Mum seems up for having them done so we will have to see.

All in all an interesting day.
