Annual Marsden Visit

Well I have passed a new milestone at the Royal Marsden today... I remain cancer free and, 27 years after my initial diagnosis, I am now an “Open Access Patient” so will only have a face to face appointment if my annual tests show a problem or if I am (or they are) worried about anything.

Feels very strange... weirdly I can’t yet decide if I am happy or sad about it! Overall though it’s great news!

Mum came with me, although she could not come inside the hospital. We avoided the tube with the long walk back from Kensington to Charing Cross, via Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square.

I do like London when it’s empty!
