Waiting in line
A busy, productive day. Much more successful than yesterday.
I had an audiology appointment this morning in town. I’ve been cared for by the NHS for about 15yrs, last appointment being 9yrs ago. But I decided to take the easy way out this time and go to one of the Non-NHS providers. The young man who did the test was superb. We chatted as though we had known one another for years.
My results show that I have normal age related changes, but they are better than they were in 2012. The side effects of high doses of antibiotics had caused the problems at that time and affected my hearing. I have ordered new hearing aids, a bit more high tec than my present ones.
As we were in Morrison’s I got a few things that I only get from there, before heading to B&Q for patio sand for B. The stores were quiet and well organised. All sited within 100 metres of each other.
Home for a bit of lunch before crashing out on the settee for an hour. I was woken by B to say that the fence chaps had arrive to prune the big tree in the back garden. Tesco’s delivery arrived a short time later.
You don’t speak to anyone for days, then you speak to several!!! I’m exhausted this evening and will struggle to stay awake until a sensible time for bed.
I had a choice of blip, but the tree pruning was relegated to extras. It was a bitterly cold day, a few warm days have spoilt us.
