Serene

A beautiful day. Absolutely flat calm and mild, warm almost. The first warm day for so long! Lottie and I had a lovely wander along the beach. This is one of few old boats still here. Such a pleasing shape.

Mike and I sat in the garden with our coffee and it was perfect. Later, we pruned a couple of feet off the top of the huge Escallonia hedge. Hard work, but it's going to make a terrific difference as it shaded the back garden, where we grow our veg! The hedge isn't ours, but belongs to Ruth and Jimmy, who gave us the okay before we picked up our loppers and pruning saw!
