Signs of hope ahead?

Possibly ...

I received a letter from the NHS yesterday telling me that it’s now my age group’s turn to arrange appointments for our covid-19 vaccinations. Hooray!
Frustratingly, repeated attempts to arrange both appointments keep coming up with locations nearly 50 miles away, 100 miles round trip (twice). Whenever nearer vaccination centres do come up on the list they appear to not actually have any appointments available.
Perhaps it’s all the other 60-65 year olds, who having received their letters like me, are flooding the system and it’ll quieten down in a few days ... maybe.
