A river runs through it!

We haven't had any rain for over a week now, but there are still floods about. This fast flowing little stream only runs in the spring, and completely dries up in the summer, but leads on to more flooded land further over the fields.
I've blipped this local veg garden nearby several times in the past but never looking this sad. The flooded bit is where Monsieur Potager usually grows his potatoes, but we've noticed that the rows of veg are gradually getting higher up the slope every year.
Our own garden has completely dried out, and has even become quite hard as I found out when I tried to dig a hole to plant something out this afternoon.
